I have walked the corridors of your faith,
The gentle breeze that blew my way,
It brought with it the mildewed love,
The hope that there is and there will be.
Yet I falter to take more steps,
This sudden darkness masking thy face,
I see no light, only a gory trail.
My screams break the silence like a shard of glass,
Falling into a pit of nightmares and massacres,
Nightmares of failures,
Of failed faith and love.
Silence resumes,
Oh! Deceitful silence,
It is just but the lull before the storm,
The wind will raise it's head once again,
Blowing till it reduces to dust all.
I'll walk the shores of this destruction,
I'll let my tears fill the empty wells,
My voice will sing to the dirge that will rise to call all men to mourn with me.
My shadow will follow a lonely trail,
The trail of my Saviour whose corridors I walked,
He'll teach me the lessons of faith and of love,
I'll learn to live another day.
The gentle breeze that blew my way,
It brought with it the mildewed love,
The hope that there is and there will be.
Yet I falter to take more steps,
This sudden darkness masking thy face,
I see no light, only a gory trail.
My screams break the silence like a shard of glass,
Falling into a pit of nightmares and massacres,
Nightmares of failures,
Of failed faith and love.
Silence resumes,
Oh! Deceitful silence,
It is just but the lull before the storm,
The wind will raise it's head once again,
Blowing till it reduces to dust all.
I'll walk the shores of this destruction,
I'll let my tears fill the empty wells,
My voice will sing to the dirge that will rise to call all men to mourn with me.
My shadow will follow a lonely trail,
The trail of my Saviour whose corridors I walked,
He'll teach me the lessons of faith and of love,
I'll learn to live another day.
